Anyone noticed this at certain times of the day whilst sunny?

Ok. To reiterate with more depth..

When the sun is high in the sky, around lunch time, it reflects down & 90 degrees into my eyes in the bottom left of my instrument panel around the temp guage..

The transparent cover over the speedo dials area.

Also, I get reflection in the shiny passengers airbag cover when the sun is mid height off my rear NS. Believe me, this can sometimes be blinding..

The fix would be to put on a sun strip me thinks for one, but the other??

If the top of the dash was slightly more protruding, it would block the 1st niggle..

Your thoughts..

My ZTT is left hand drive and I have a similar problem, with the fuel gauge.
It could depend from the driving position.I am rather tall and even with the seat fully down I have that problem. It disappears in the dark when the instruments are illuminated.

Not really noticed the reflections to be honest. Anything from the rear is blanked by my electric rear blind.

Edd I didn't even know you played the drums!

I have a Garmin sat nav, with a non-slip "foot", which sits on the top of the dash. No marks, easy to remove and stow in glove box

Lol!
I used to tap out a tattoo on my dash to the radio while driving around Oz until I made such a dent in it that the sun reflected in my eyes. So I bought a couple of Tom-Toms and stuck them there. Then my daughter came along and put in a glitter ball hanging from the mirror.

We danced all the way home.

I too get this and its very annoying and kinda dangerous at times too.

Also does anyone else find the sun visors slightly pathetic at times? I sometimes find they ar'nt big enough for the window when the sun is, for instance, beeming down through the front window near the rear view mirror.

Sun visors are definitely crap, especially with me being such a shortarse.

It's worse than ever over the last two days..

I've now noticed it in the bottom right side of the instrument lens..

Blinded me to hell, this was so dangerous at the time of overtaking..

I do like to sit up high and look down ok, but still.. This stops if I lower the seat.. Bad design of the instrument panel cowling this..

Looks like I may have to get a "bad boy" sun strip..

Nightmare to fit em..

Welsh..:sad2:

Never noticed the dazzle problem from the instrument panel myself, mind you I wear glasses all the time whether that makes any difference. Agree the visors could do with being a bit bigger, spend a lot of my time adjusting them.

Has anybody else noticed that the clock reflects into the screen rather badly at night on an unlit road, would have been solved if it had been reccessed a little more. Have to turn the dash illumination down, which then means the driving instruments are hard to read.

I also don't use a screen mount for my satnav, bit of a giveaway to the lawless, use a removeable homemade custom mount just below the console eyebrow.
