Blimey tyre prices have done up

Last time i changed my tyres I got Avons and I'm pretty sure they were about £60 each - just had a quote for same again and they're £96, same dealer. He says tyre prices have gone up - is that true?

Sounds about right to me. Must have been a while since you re-shod.

in the last 6 years theyve gone up nearly 50% - when I got the ZS conti`s were £100 or below now you struggle to get them for less than £145
Just found the invoice, was June 09, done about 20,000 in these Avons, they were actually £70 each but by the time they've added disposal tax and enviromnemtal fee etc plus VAT it came to £373 total.Sounds about right to me. Must have been a while since you re-shod.

think yourselves lucky... my last 2 car tyre sizes were 295/40/18 and 275/45/17 - both of which are ahem not cheap lol

what size you after as it does sound pricey to me

Thats strange, they're £114.10 p each from Black circle. It must have been a special offer, or a little while must have been a "long little while"
3 months ago, now showing on Blackcircle at £88, so there HAS been a big increase!
195/65/15 on my 75 were £211 for 4 (Yokohama C-drive) in June at National tyres of all places. booked and paid online.
