Blanking the recirc valve to make pigeon sound.

Is blanking the recirculation valve to allow compressor stall thus causing the pigeon sound on throttle lift off bad for the turbo? The pigeon sound on lift off sounds good though, better than a blow off valve sound.

some people does say it will wear the turbo quicker, as theres more force to slow the compressor than letting it slow down gently.

SOme will say they have run with out a dump valve for years and the turbo is still ok, I personally think its a risk, some will not have a problem, so will,

The fact theres a dump valve on it in the first place I think might indicate manufactures are worried about the turbo life.

The sound is very easy to acheive on a T16 turbo, leave the orignal DV fitted but the vac pipe disconnect, fit a big air filter (to allow the sound to escape) and also a stronger actuator (like the forge one) to hold the wastegate fully shut.

I just dont want to damage your turbo or engine, I personally feel the extra stresses on the compresor might wear the seals out quicker, ie more chance of it smoking or bending the fins wich could end up going through the engine??
