Having made the mistake of obliging Steve & Clive ;) in Northumberland and removing my hard top to enjoy the [mini] run and stunning scenery/weather, I am now back to a whilstling/draughty hard top.

I did once manage to get it fitted so perfectly that even at, erm 71mph it didn't utter a sound but now, having removed it and stuck it back on, it's back to its old self.

Anyway know of a trick to keep the ******* of a thing quiet?

Yes - take it off and store it in the garage!

I've been pushing on the back and fastening the back catches to make sure it's as far forward as it can be, then I fasten the front catches.

Erm, which front adjuster?

Thanks,
Rob
if you look at the front catch when it is in the released postion there is a long nut which you can slacken or tighten to adjust the tension in the hood.there is a chrome clip which secures it just pull this down adjust the nut and push the clip back in place

Hardtop

I've only had my hardtop on twice. The first time it seemed AOK, but the second time it creaked and thumped a lot at the back. The front clips are very tight; I'm sure there's no scope there.

Any further comments?
