i have been toldl we need a pc built with this encyption program installed on it. teh version is 8.0.3 that i am going to use, and as there is another pc with it already on, i was planning on sending over the public and private keys but i am yet to read up on it.

any tips or help??

You don't send the privte key anywhere. That's the whole point.

OpenPGP is a free alternative which is actually better now.

i know that.
i know the diffrence between the private and public key. but i was trying to set up teh new pc with pgp on, so wasnt sure whether i could import the two keys from the workiong pc onto the new pc.
not from a viewpoint of trying to send email, but the initial set up.

In version 8 IIRC you backup the key pair on the old machine and then import them back into the new one.

Haven't used PGP for a while.
