As the title says, i am about to get some colour coding done on my rover 25. Basically what i am having done is the all the side stips and bumper strips and the door handles. What i want to know if anyone has had the door handles done and if they have had nay problems with it aftwards. like with it flaking etc. i am pretty sure that the other bits will be fine. anyone help?

Shouldn't be an issue. The Ones on my Coupe are the same handles, but come colour coded from the factory.
i want that done too mine as well! did you get a price for the doors and bumper strips i havent got a price im hoping its not gonner cost over a 100? dont want the handles done thow!
aslong as the surface is prepped properly and has a proper primer used then it should be fine mate, the only thing i would worry about is scratching off girls with rinigs etc
guy said £250 for all the strips, front and rear skirts, foor door handles and a boot handle. thinks thats quite reasonable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just need to find a front skirt now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh sad man...kiss goodbye to modding the car then. That usually goes outta the window when she starts putting her foot down.
had all my handles done and bumpstrips shouldnt have any problems if a good body shop is doing the work
Long as its done correctly it will be fine.
The ZR strips are actually smoother, so make sure they smooth them a little, rather than just spraying them...they are quite rough otherwise...especially the back bumper it can stand out.

If you need side skirts to add to that spray job give me a shout..picked some up today:)
how much for the skirts mikey
Depends if thats 2 trips or one mate!

Catch me on msn.

Exactly the reason why I haven't done mine. My advice, if you are going to do this, is lots and lots of layers of clear lacquer, and bake them in the oven at the lowest heat (usually 50 deg C) for a couple of hours before refitting.

Did the rear chrome strip (across the backside, IYSWIM) in BRG last weekend. What a pig to remove THAT was. Front ones to come this weekend. Might as well, seeing as I have some *ahem* repairs to do to my front splitter as well and the front of the car has to come off.
One more thing - if you are doing your side bump strips, be sure to make sure that they are sanded RIGHT back, so the primer gets a good key to the surface. Otherwise the first time someone opens a door into you - and they will - it'll flake away.
