My drivers side electric door mirror is loose. The securing fasterners are tight, the mirror is loose on the 'knuckle'.
Can the mirror be dissassembled and repaired?

Glad you have posted this, mines all floppy and not hard too.

The drivers side wing mirror that is, took it apart all ready the spring was a bit stretched, so i cut it shorter and refitted, its a bit bettter but still loose/moves about to much.

Has anyone done a repair for floppy/drooping bits?

Might ram mine full of fibreglass if i have to, but then it will have no movement and give if anything catches it.

decided to have anothe go at sorting out my floppy one!
Drivers mirror that is.

Thought sod it, ill take it off and bung it full of fibreglass, it wont move then.
So here we go.

BTW if you have a go at this, make sure you tape around the flex bit to stop fibreglass leaking out, also i added some glass fibre to make my resin thicker.
And also tape the mirror into the position you want it to be when set! test fit and adjust before taping.
