no only in primer.... cost about £100 to paint up

 

oh dear another ruined TF :getcoat: -sorry just dont like the MG UK front end one bit personaly think it looks cheap - wish I had an 85th aniversary then I could sell the bumper on and pocket the cash :lol:

I quite like the clean looks of the LE bumper, makes the car look longer and perhaps a little more Boxsterish. Might help with frontal lift too. Dont go fitting a huge rear spoiler though, it will unsettle not only the look but probably the handling/aerodynamics too

yep thats the one ...in birmingham, apparently he has quite a few and spoken to him this morning and they are all stamped up MG and are the black plastic............and if anyone gets one for less .....dont tell me

Have you got an eBay link to the item Paul? Good purcahse though, I love the LE bumper - both my TF's have had one.

For the record, assuming you can peel the stripes off, you will get very close to £200 for it on eBay.

Don't forget you need to buy grille and the bigger badge too! Looking forward to the photos.

 

Bigger badge is as rare as rocking horse **** I picked mine up from south west mini's (I dont remember the exact name.... I'll dig it out if you need it), about £24 delivered inc. VAT.

Nice bloke, called in on my mobile the morning they had a delivery.

Not happy if these are legit bumpers, as I paid £285 for mine £180 is usually the fibreglass rate! But they do look lovely sprayed up though

as for the old one it has a slight crack at the grill area so until i get it of dont know it it will repair, but if i get some money back on it will be happy

mgfcentre has the big badges too I believe, they quoted me for them a while ago.

Yep but you need the TF bumper reinforcement bar and the TF lights, brackets and loom (or an old loom to splice into).

to all concerned these bumpers are the genuine article.....THEY ARE NOT FIBREGLASS....as said original MG parts
in fact i bought 2 ...and i think i paid less for 2 than a seller on ebay selling 1 heheheh
i rekon i got a bargain ...now just got to spray and fit

Now all I need is the passenger light and I am well away


I must say I was well impressed with them for the money. Yes I was lucky, I did get mine cheaper, but, as you said, you still got both for less than you would have paid on fleabay...
MG stamped with part number on there too...

 

Just sent the payment for mine, its going on my mgf, I was going to do a tf upgrade until I saw the price.

Now to get the other bits. It may be worth staying in touch if we are all after the same bits off ebay in case we bid against each other. What do you think?

all i need is a badge and they are £16 at rimmers for the large 90mm one.....but they need an le vin number to be able to release one.......he tried to order me one and it wouldnt let him go any further till he entered it.....hmmmmm
