Funnily enough JP did that last year with the MG6. I seem to recall he was in with a shout of the championship.
Yes ture, tho plato is in a different league to neate, also 888 said neate car was rushed so might not of been as well done as platos.

Any who, I'm glad we've got Tordoff this year, looks strong. But I'm also hoping Andy has a better year, maybe away from the lime light a bit might help.

Well Sam takes his first win in his BTCC debut. Neate finally gets his car out and finishes 23rd. Sorry but Neate just is not good enough IMHO, he spent the whole of last year blaming the car. It's taken forever to get his car ready and still he's down at the wrong end of the grid. I can't see him improving that much tbh. Thought this thread deserves a resurrection lol

And he hasn't crashed it yet! And unlike his 6 at round 1 last year it hasn't broken down. Like I said Neate is a nice guy and I would do the same as him if I had the money (working on a way to get into low level racing atm) , but MG is alot better of with Tordoff, but I do wonder if MG/888 would of run all 3 cars if Neate and his money hadn't left?! Never mind.

Lets hope for a good MG race 3/bad Honda race 3! :D

Agree with all of those comments, he is a complete waste of time hence why I started this thread last year! He was the same in the other racing series he raced in as well. I found it embarrasing to watch Neate driving for MG last year considering Plato's pace. Yes some people tend to think Plato is a bit arrogant and his driving style is sometimes a bit more than aggressive, but bottom line is he's a superb driver and is good at his game! I'm also glad that they have taken on Tordoff this year as a replacement, he's doing fantastic this year and the team is working well together by the looks of it.

What really gives me the hump about the BTCC this year is Honda. Firstly, I have never liked Honda, the Civic looks like it was designed and built in a tea-break late on a Friday afternoon, Matt Neal - whilst he is a good driver and definately on par with Plato I think is a sore loser and similarly Shedden as well. All they seem to complain about is how their car isn't suited to a track and boost levels when they run out of excuses for not being at the front - strange that, considering they seemed to pick their way through the field at Snetterton yesterday don't you think ???

Cue the latest development with Honda and Neate, I rest my case.

Word is he is no longer a director at Ceravision, and has finally admitted in a round about sort of way he is crap, and he is wanting to focus on his lad's career.

I believe I read it somewhere saying TOCA administrators will no longer accept any entry that Neate is involved with, not quite sure where that came from.

He has had good cars to drive, he has worked with some great teams and still not been any cop at racing, even his own team failed in almost spectacular fashion.

Maybe his kid will do better than he has ever done, but parents can also put too much into pushing their kids to live their life and dreams instead of their own.

I guess it will all come out in the wash eventually.

Well I did say one orange Honda should probably not be there in the Brands Hatch Indy thread.

I've not watched Brands Hatch Indy yet but I heard he was running far down the field even with the same equipment and data as the Neal and Shedden.

I feel bad that TD invested so much on the third car.
