got some brand new wheels for my BRM (BRM wheels)..others were a state.

should i put a sealant for alloys on before having the tyres fitted?

and whats the best way to clean/look after them on a twice a week basis?

spray a wheel cleaner and just rinse off and re seal now and then?

don't want them to end up a mess like the others. any advice on how to properly look after these wheels PROPERLY would be much appreciated!

Thanks, Andy

Putting a good wheel sealant on now won't do any harm, but don't be annoyed when the trye fitters get their grubby hands on them.

I use Chemical Guys Wheel Guard and would highly recommend it. I've also heard that Poorboys Wheel Sealant is good stuff too.

I know they're not the same wheels as yours, but this is the finish CG Wheel Guard gives:

Clean them after they have put the wheels on, and re-apply the wheel sealant again, not forgetting the inside of the rim too. My family laugh at me when I'm lying on the floor reaching under to clean the inside of mine. It makes them look a hell of a lot better, and stops the brake dust sticking.

Give them a good few coats of a specialist wheel sealant or wax, outer and inner rim, but not the section where the tyre goes.
