I wonder whether anyone has successfully fitted all rubber windscreen wiper blades such as those fitted to Subarus , to a Rover 75 .

I think the blades are called Aero something or other .

As long as you buy the correct length blades for the car you should have no problems fitting them. I have them on my 45 and they are fantastic. Took 2 minutes to fit and are much better than any other blades I've had fitted. Only cost me a tenner too.

I bought mine from raceparts on ebay... listing for the 75 here:

If you mean these mate:

Then yeah you can put them on, go here to buy them on eBay or Sarie's link. Less than a tenner posted and they work and look great.

Or you can buy the ordinary ones from Llidl , Aldi, Tesco for £3 a pair and work just as well:)

I tend to agree on that.
The Aeroblades concept is a wonderful piece of marketing IMO. I realise some car makers use them as OEM, but it really is a marketing gimmick ('a thousand points of contact' and all that stuff). I've bought two pairs so far and while they work very well new (what blades don't?) they 'warped' in a short while and left an unwiped band. I chucked them and reverted to standard.

Everyone to their own tastes and favourites of course, but don't believe too much of the pseudo-scientific flim-flam that sells with them.

I put a post on about wiper blades last year and got my head bit off by one or two when i mentioned Mondeo blades were the same as 75 / ZT's and getting them from Ford at £20, lol.

It was put to me that Lidl blades were just as good so when i next saw them on offer, bought a set. I fitted these in May of this year and was expecting them to possibly last a month or two, but no, they are still performing very well. So much so that when they were in stock again a few weeks back i bought some more. Can highly recommend them.

Regards,

Dave.
A Lidl bit goes a long way.
