What would you guys say is the average 'good' price for an 'A' service, just the routine stuff on a 15k service.

B+G advertise for 140 including VAT on the internet but when I called he said it would be 225?

I noticed someone said they got theirs for 90 quid, from a 'non-mate' garage. I can't get mine to come under 200. So what did you guys pay for your last service?

The "A" service should be around the £150 mark by a Xpart Service Centre.

211 is the cheapest I have had offered so far by 3 different Xpart centres.

I'm tempted to go to a local garage thats offering 95 quid for any car under 2 litre engine, but would obviously rather spend a little more for a specialist, but i'm not happy about being quoted double for a specialist.

A service isn't even an Air Filter.....

I'd expect it well under £150 TBH.... I paid £125 when I got an MGR Dealer to do it.....

Yeah, interim is pretty much an oil change and check everything is OK. I'm going with nationwide autocenter as I get a discount. Paying just over £100 for interim and MoT

Just been quoted 165 in Northampton, so I guess its just London prices taking their toll.....:(

Though that still seems a touch high, and hardly worth the difference when I would have to get the car all that way to have it done and waste a days holiday.

I think I'll just bite the bullet and go for the cheapest of the Xpart centres.

MGF centre wanted 255 btw.

Just looking at the invoice, £165 was what I paid for the 'A' service at Luffield on the TF back in October 05.

345 was the highest quote I received, from an MG garage in Herts.

I checked and double checked, and even asked the girl if she wouldn't mind checking.
