Thanks for the speedy replies to my other thread

Driving around today things have shown up.......When stationary there is a strange high pitched whine/groan from under the dash/ bulkhead area, there is no real pattern to it, And it doesn't happen all the time, and it goes after about five seconds, It's not from the belts as these were silent when the bonnet was up. Sounds like an old harmonica

I don't think the cruise control is working properly as the dash light does not come on when the button with the road on it is pressed (it does light up though)

How the hell does the drivers door card come off, I have got to replace a couple of clips to change (bit loose around door lock pin)

I finding myself some jobs to do over christmas so sorry for the list

Look in the 'how to' forum on here for how to get your door cards off. The one that shows how to change speakers

Does the high pitched whine sound like a whale or a dolphin? If so then it is a fairly common noise made by the aircon unit. Time to get your gas levels checked etc.

Cruise- check the switches on the clutch and brake pedals. If they are knackered then it won't work.

Best to get the air con serviced if it is makling that noise a lot. It could be running on low gas and that can mean dried out seals and v. big bills.

I suggest you shop around for a/c servicing - prices vary enormously, esp at this quiet time of year.
