Issue 5: 6x9's are drowning out the sub and the base doesn't sound correct.
Resolution 5: Switch the output of the 6x9's to be HPF between 120 and 150hz.

This is my problem. How can i swicth the output of the 6x9's to this HPF 120-150hz ?? all advice would be great!

To do that you need to have a HPF (high pass filter) on the amp you're using for the 6x9's.
you can achieve the same result by decreasing the bass setting from your HU.

I don't think that's the solution though, you probably have a problem with the way your install is wired.

with help of some people, not including Stiff? i decided to scrap them and just put some components in the front. orderd them about hour ago, they any good?

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=5085

gonna upgrade amp 1000watt + and sub maybe to a 15"

should be ok then? gettin local audio shop to help with setup of the sub + amp to work with a new hu ima buy along with components.

Once i get it all and sounds aight, ima get a ncie boot install..

don't dump the rear speakers smart guy, keep them then you can turn them off from the HU to see if it sounds better with or without them.

don't take everything your read on a forum for ultimate truth, get your own experience.

When i did my first install, I had the amp secured to the back of the rear seats. Then i had it secured to a standard sub box. I now have 2 amps secured to what I call my "amp wall," pic here: http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g155/tomp216si/DSC00203.jpg

I have found that the amp wall is the best way of keeping the amp(s) secure and out of the way.

Hope that helps, Tom
You make that yourself?

anyone have any links to tutorials? or even tutorials how to make simple to moderate boot installs? thanks :D

Yeah I made it myself, out of MDF. I also made a sub box out of mdf, on the other side. It saved me so much money, and for what wasnt really a very hard job, it made it so much more satisfying when i turned my system on for the first time, comparing to say if i had bought the wall and box ready made, not to mention the amount of money I saved
