Depends how much it is worth to you.

If it was a bargain, in the real sense, it would of sold within an hour.

I would go to view and start with £1500, and be prepared to go a bit more, and then give him the option of giving you a ring if the car doesn't sell at asking price. That's if it is as he is portraying it. If I saw the exhaust system corroded, for example, I would be chipping away at his price even further.

Of course much depends on distance, I would of bought Dolly-pops Tourer, but it was 500 miles away-ish.

 

But the question is , when was it last serviced ? He says a woman has owned it since 2000 and shes only did about 10k since then . He also says it was last serviced at 31k and it now has 41k , which would lead me to believe it was last serviced 7 years ago ?

 

Admittedly I only scanned it, but 10 out of 10 for observation and deduction. What this exactly means, I don't know. The hydraulic fluid could of caused inner corrosion to the whole of the braking system. The coolant's anti-corrosive qualities wouldn't be up to much either. Perhaps a classic car enthusiast can add more insight. Then there's the car battery?

 

I was thinking more of the oil . I dont do that many miles (less than 9k a year) and neither does my GF (less than 8k), but I change the oil in our cars every year without fail . After 7 years regardless of how many miles its done I dread to think what the oil looks like .

 

For £2k I'd expect all the dents and scratches sorted, a full service and a warranty! Also it's gonna be due for a cambelt change I'd have thought.

Also the coolant tank looks empty on the photo :2c:

 

needs the rear quarter spraying and the bumper so id knock at least £200 of for that and even more if i wasnt a paint sprayer

 

I paid £250 for my N plate 90k Ti, I think two grand is a bit much, id want one with half that mileage, no damage and a full service history.
