I know this has been covered before. Can anybody help me with insurance im 18 with no no claims bonus. Will have been driving a year by the time i want to renew in june. Got a quote with tesco that im with at the moment and they say £2600.00 or there abouts. Anybody kno somewhere that can do me any better?

I say you could try norwhich union direct. They made me a decent quote and the have an accelerated no claims thing where you get a years no claims in 9 months for like 5 years. Could be useful.

insurance

.....Ring Norwich Union and ask for a 'Pass Plus' quote - specifically aimed at young drivers (or those coming out of company car schemes). This policy gets you 5 years no claims in 3 or 4 (cant remember which)

i've got a 1.6 rover 216 Sli i'm 18 had my license since 20 december 04 and got insurance with my pass plus for £1300 fully comp with Norwich union

www.insureyourmotor.com have always been cheaper for me.

when I was 19 on a Rover 420 Si was 1600 quid (though that was a few years ago)

Yer I'm with elephant its about 30 quid each mod', but they don't insure Induction kits, but if you keep the standard air box just incase......

You could go down the named driver route for now. I did that, and then went on my own after a few years.

na i did that last year, simply because i couldnt afford to do it any other way. Im wanting to go on my own this year, as it will make it cheaper in years to come when i get some no claims

Try'd them elephant was over 200 quid cheaper, that was after i lost my no claims and declared an accident
