That age old problem of intermittant fault!!

I'm confused dot com!

After a week of not starting - the blooming thing turned over twice then fired!!

Various possabilities.... the crank sensor could be faulty - not always a spark at any of the plugs - plenty of fuel getting through

Twist to the story, talking to an auto electrcian - the crank sensor on this one is in the dissy?!?!?!?

Second possibilty - the ally thingy (maybe the coil?) under the washer bottle is faulty - same auto sparky - the coil is inside the dissy!!

Low and behold last night, turned it over and started fine - ran well, went for a drive no problem, came home, parked up, turned over - fired EVERY time

Today - turns over - no firing up!!

Come on you lot - h e l p p l e a s e ! ! !

What on earth is going on?!?!

Thanks in anticipation!!

I've looked at the dissy cap and rotor arm - they look okay!

There is only 4 plug leads coming from the dissy - not like older cars I remember with the middle lead going to the coil - that is what is confusing me I think!!

Earth lead - didn't think of that one.... Have to have a look.

The coil / ally thingy by the washer bottle could be at fault - the washer jet leaks and when the washer squirts, it leaks over the coil thingy - that could well be the problem - amazin what you can suddenly realise in the dark while swearing at it to start!!!

Anyone know where I can get one - bearing in mind its a 1993 K series 1.6???
