And check the EPC

Also, try the stickies at the start of the forum, you might get help there.

have you had it up in the air and been underneath with the engine running?
I don't think they usually show the oil leaks on exploded diagrams. ;)

Your best bet is to clean everything up with degreaser and then track it down.
i cant get below to see i have only looked from above
i thought if i see a pic i would have some idea of what the poss cause would be
Maybe if you describe where you can see the oil someone will suggest something. Is it bad enough to drip?

There are lots of possibilities, but the more serious leaks tend to be from the camshaft oil seals with other joints just weeping and leaving a mess.
the part that the oil filter fits to is wet with oil so i think the leak is either that or above , but i cant see above due to the altenator
The oil filter housing is certainly a possibility and I would think that replacing the gasket would be quite simple as it is only held with 4 screws. However, I've never tried this job with the engine in a car.

Next most likely would be a camshaft oil seal - take the belt cover off and you should be able to see if this is the problem.
ok i will check camshaft oil seals are they a easy job to replace?
You could try replacing the filter itself. Sometimes if they haven't been fitted well they will leak and the air flow will make it look as though it is coming from further up.
Umm, is this question being asked twice by the OP

Looks like it - please don't make duplicate posts broadway3, it just confuses everyone.

Cam oil seals require the cam belt and pulleys to be removed so not a job for the first timer.
