Hi everyone,

Hope your all looking forward to xmas!?

Im looking into getting some 17" (minimum) wheels on my TF. I have found that there are not many direct fit wheels around. I have spoken to Mike Satur, and will probably buy an adapter then some aftermarket wheels. I quite like the look of the trophy style 17's he has, but my preference at the moment is the following:

the hydra and the titan
and also

I was wondering if anyone had come across any manufactures who make direct fit wheels, or if you have any particular favorites that you think look good on the TF. Please post any appropriate links etc.

Thanks Guys

Good luck on your search, here's the web site to Moss who do a lot of 17" options, but would suggest going over 17" may not be the best however good they look as handling would certainly be different ,eg tramlining and so on, i have 16" TSW alloys and have no probs and have thought about going bigger but decided to stay with these after reading on different sites of probs with 17" and !8" , but only you can decide and good luck , Dave links below,

plus the MGF Centre would be worth a call, here,

Got to say the Hydra and Titan do look nice, hard to imagine what they'd look like on a TF though, i'm sure someone could photoshop em on though.
Would be good to see different wheels on TF/F's, must say all i've seen is standard ones, though having said that I do like my gunmetal grey rims!

David,

Which TSW rims do you have? I had reflex on my last car - they were nice. Did you have to have an adaptor?

Hi, i have these 16" TSW Blades, iv'e only seen one other set on an F and those are Andy Phillips( Scarlet Fever) i have had them on a couple of years now and very pleased with them, have just had them refurbished at MGF Centre, before these i had the very new out then and i think i had the second set out as was told by MGOC who i had them off,the 16" chrome wire wheels shown below, but they only lasted 6 months or so as although tubless 2 tyres kept going flat, and had awful trouble trying to balance them, even MGOC couldn't so they exchanged no problem, so i swopped for the TSW's i now have , see pics of wire wheels pre T6 DCM reg change, Dave

excuse quality of photo's as scanned , my pre digital camers days;-)

If you check out this Thread you will find that Andyblac has had 17"'s put onto his TF at the "MikeSatur Euporium of all MGF/TF"

There is mention in the thread about some arch rolling on the rear, and another point about the steering being slightly more responsive. - I never read it all, but its somewhere and somebody to speak to about it.

They shouldnt do as there is so much ride height on a standard TF! i am considering lowering it so that it does not look like a monster truck. I have always put 17's on cars and have had no problems before - think it depends more on what width tyres you use! Guess we will find out!

I think I have decided which wheels I am going to get - If i can get them to fit!

in 17"

Lets just hope they fit!

Does the TF have springs all round for lowering?

Im currently running 17" Konig Graphite Troubles which look great on my X-Power TF. I have no probs with the arches or with them catching on anything. Not a sniff of tramlining either! ride does look a little high, so looking at lowering in the new year.

They look good, remember the F/TF have funny size hubs and limited to what wheels will fit, can't remember dimensions off hand, Dave

I know - im looking into what will fit with adaptors and without!

My aim is to have a nice set of 17's then in the new year fit springs.

If anyone has fitted 17's to their Tf please post pics!
