Has anyone ever used this before?
What with all my tuning ideas lately i keep forgetting that i should at least try and get the car to factory spec.
I`ve recently been using Redex (or octane booster) with optimax to help clean the fuel system a little, and eventually will have my injectors pro cleaned.
I`ve done most of the servicing bits, its now just a case of getting 12 years worth of gunk and carbon from the insides.

Car runs well and everything, but obviously the years take their toll, and i want to rejuvinate everything over a period of time.

I`m also thinking of some oil additives but have absolutely no experience of these. Better to keep my oil clean ,or has any one tried this before?

Cheers,
Wes.:)

Steer well clear of all of this crap.

The last thing you want to be doing on a 12 year old engine is blowing lumps of carbon deposits off. These are probably what are sealing the valves on the thing.

Just using good quality fuel and regular oil changes are all that are needed. These gimmicks will do more damage than good in an engine of that age.

Optimax has cleaning agents for the injectors in it anyway. No need for anything harsher than that.

Hi mate.

A chap at my work has used some injector cleaner and his car is a H reg Toyota MR2 with 70'000+ miles on the clock. It has improved his lower end torque, well worth the money from what I hear. :naughty:
From what i've heard, an engine with a higher engine is not worth using oil flush as it removes the muck that is covering minor imperfections (the dirt acts as a protection for the engine) and can cause more damage than its worth! Someone correct me if i'm wrong. :err:

I've always used STP or REDEX injector/fuel system cleaner in all my recent cars on a regular basis, to good effect. Save your money on the 10k boost. If things are that grunged then it's time to whip off the TB and get jiggy with the white spirit and toothbrush (an old one is best!).
