Hi all,
have afew problems with the 1.4, i wa sthinking is the 120 1.8 block a direct swap? as they use most of the same stuff just the 1.8 is 15hp up.

so is it possible to use the 1.4 engine loom and ecu/ manafolds and everything and just get hold of a 1.8 block and swap it all over?

cheers

while youve got the engine out it would be a good idea to change the cambelt, waterpump and tensioners, also change the clutch both are alot easier while its out of the car.

the 1.8 engine will mate up to the r65 gearbox but youl have to take it easy so ideally youd want the pg1 that is standard on the 1.8.

idealy youd need : block, gearbox, driveshafts, new cambelt, water pump, tensioners, ecu 5as and fob set.

after the 1.8 block is in it will need a remap.
