No real problems to speak of from what you already have minus HGF.

If it feels gutless at low revs the MAF will be knackered.

If it's really gutless and belches black smoke out check the hoses.

 

the only real draw back is when you wake up 5 in the morning to go to work and you forget you have a diesel.. and throw 30 quid of petrol in haha.


honestly the l series is near bullit proof

my car takes about 15- 20 minutes to warm up. that's 15 minutes in minus temperatures with steamy windows and shaking because of the cold.

when i leave in the morning, i scrape the ice of the car sit in the car with my arctic gear, hat, scarf gloves,thick jacket, loads of socks. just to get to work. my work is only 10 minutes down the road so it doesn't actually warm up in time. not good for the car i know but it's too cold to walk, i do take the car out for nice long runs occasionally

 

I used to have a ZR diesel and am thinking of buying another one at the end of January.

Very solid engines and very reliable...hence why i want to return

they do take a while to warm up, and they arent the most refined of engines but theyre a hoot to drive a modded one.

the usual faults are really easy to find and rectify, good mpg on a run and decent power.

the only thing i prefer my old 1.4 for is the fact that the k warms up so fast
