  1. MGF and MGTF
Hi, I know it's a long shot, but I have to try... I have managed to scrounge all the parts needed to fit front foglight to my 2001 Trophy, all I need now to be sure of a quality job is the fitting template. I'm happy to buy them off you, or borrow them and pay postage both ways. Any chance...

Hi all. I'm putting together a pump to sort out the suspension but not sure how to ensure the connectors are sealed. I've got: -pump + tube, same as in this YouTube video: How to Pump-Up Hydrolastic and Hydragas Suspension -Schrader value Converter price to connect the -Schrader to the tube...

Hey guys! I’m looking to see if anyone from NZ owns an MGF on here! Im wanting to lower the car using pins or knuckles but since New Zealand doesn’t seem too involved in the MG community I have no idea where to even buy the lowering knuckles/pins or who could help install them if anyone could...

Hello all, You will not find me very interesting. I am an ex-pat, don't own a car, and I won't even acquire one until I have returned to the UK. BUT......I am, albeit nostalgically, an admirer of Austins, Rovers and MG. I am educating myself about more of the models from these marques. Hence my...

I’m about to buy a 98 S plate F that’s been in my car park forever as a bit of a project. It’s got a fair bit of rust on the cat and I’m guessing whole underside. Body work is great with the exception of a few dents on the skirts. Interior is moulded through but with no rips tears. Engine looks...

I just spent time starting to de-rust my front sub frame (off car) and realised it has had a whack and has some impact damage. I'm on the Isle of Wight. The damage is only a 3mm shunt but the rear wishbone bolt and captive nut is jammed up. Anyone with an impact free front subframe?:)

Hi all, first post on the forum so apologies if I’ve plonked this in the wrong place! I’ve got a very faint ticking/grating noise coming from my steering but only at certain points, it’s not continuous. It’s a 2000 Steptronic if that makes any difference. Hopefully you can hear it in the video...

Hi, Had an MOT failure for rust on the offside Sill being within 30 cm of the suspension mounting - I think this may be a common problem with Rover's in general I know a friend of mine had his 75 needing the Sill replaced. My question is, is this an expensive procedure to get this cut out and...

Hello there everyone I brought myself a new MGF 22 years ago (T reg) and have really enjoyed it, but over the past few years, it has just sat on my driveway and I've hardly driven it. Saying that I always get it serviced and MOT'd each year, infact I just had it MOT 'd last month again. The...

Hi all, I am trying to track down a set of side scoop extensions for my MGF. I've looked everywhere but can't seem to locate any. Does anyone out there know of anyone still manufacturing these? Thanks and regards, Steve

I've managed to do an almost complete LED light upgrade to my 51 plate MGF (I'll post a full list of what I've used when done for those interested), with one obvious exception. I know that I either need to fit load resistors (no thank you), or find a flasher unit which will cope with the much...

Due to opening and closing of the boot lid, wiring loom attached to boot lid is folding every time. This folding can eventualy lead to breaking of wires within this loom. This breakage can lead to various type of problems from non-operating third brake light to alarm sounding during night...

HOLA! Just wanted to introduce myself and my 2001 Steptronic Trophy Blue MGF. Got it from first owner in Germany with only 30k miles on the clock. Pretty rare here in Europe. Yesterday I've installed lens projector with HID Xenons, also outer trim got black matt touch. Cheers.

Hello Everyone, I have finally got round to becoming a member and posting on here. I bought my wife an 2000 MGF Wedgwood SE in April and so have been on here quite a bit trying to sort out the issues it came with. So far have replaced all the brake pads, discs and one of the calipers (which...

It's got to the point now where my toyosports rear box is starting to annoy me with its "tinny" noise. After looking around it would seem that the TT exhausts are the more desirable choice for the F. I'm looking at either a MK4 or a MK7, has anyone who has one fitted willing to provide some...

Hi guys, It's got to that time where i need to replace the rear tyres on my F. I've currently got some crappy budgets on the back which lasted a whole 5 minutes, I'm looking at the toyo T1-R's or conti contact 2's as they have the best write up from people I've spoken to. Can anyone reccomend...

Having battled over several winters on miserable unlit country roads not being able to see more than a few hundred yards in front of the car I thought it was time for a change. I've read the threads on here about the different bulbs and kits and was never quite sure what best to do, I don't...
