A new "180 Sports Auto" now complements the performance MG ZT range, providing an automatic choice between the popular 5-speed manual ZT 160 and ZT 190 models. Richardsons of Tiverton, in Devon, have been Rover dealers for probably longer than anyone else, however unlike most dealers they like to have a bit of a play with their cars. For their first MG special, they looked at the MGF. The model they chose as their base was a 1.6i MGF, although from driving the car you wouldn't know it was "just" a 1.6.

The MGF  range was extended in Spring 2001 with a new base model, with for the first time a different engine choice, this time the 1.6 version of the award winning K-Series. Is the 1.6 engine powerful enough for a sportscar like the MGF ?
